Favorite Things 3

Hi Everyone,
I'm back again with more of my favorite things, around the house.
My pot rack, in the kitchen...

My olden rotary dial phone...

The vintage tole pull down light.  My Dad and I installed it :)

Another tole accent lamp...

We are enjoying some cooler, less humid weather in Illinois!

More Favorite Things

Hi All,
We just returned from visiting our daughter and family in Vermont.  What a beautiful place.  The best part was, I got to spend time with my Grandson.  He is the best baby.  Well, you knew I was going to say that, didn't you???
Here are a few more of my favorite things...
The sweet, tiny window I had my builder incorporate into our addition, a few years ago.

My movie books and some bibles.  I have been collecting them since I was 17.  They are like old friends.

The little music figurine my Granny bought me, one Christmas.  She said it reminded her of the two of us making noodles in her old farmhouse.  Priceless!

The colonial blue tole lamp I found on ebay, several years ago.
Have a great week!

Favorite Things

Hi All,
Do you ever walk through your home, and as you pass by an item or photo, get a warm, fuzzy feeling?  I do, all the time.  We have lived in the same house for many years, since 1985, to be exact.  It is a part of me, and always will be.
I thought I might do a series of Favorite Things, once in a while.  Hope you enjoy!
An olden lamp, bought at an estate sale of a dear lady I knew...

The old newel post, built for the house in 1939.  I wonder how many times my hands have touched it?

Me and my Dad, Grant Park, Chicago 1980.  A treasure, the picture and him.

I love transferware.  Pieces I have picked up, here and there, perched on a vintage Early American shelf.

Hope you all had a wonderful 4th!

Beautiful Day!

Hi All,
It is such a beautiful day in Illinois.  By the weekend the temps will hit 80!  My sweet "adopted sister" Susan, over at Ash Tree Cottage, inspired me this morning to post a little something for you all.  Life has gotten very busy, but here is a little spring post for you!  Please go over and visit my sweet Susan.  Her blog is delightful, just like her!

Hello!

Hi All,
Life has been very busy for me and to be honest, I really hadn't found much inspiration around the Cape house, lately.  Spring seems to be here, at least for a couple of days, yay!
Bunnies on the coffee table

The over sized cup and saucer are the same pattern of the china that Carole Lombard had for Clark Gable at their Encino ranch.  He loved his coffee out of these big cups!

Hope you all have a blessed Easter!
